Grooming
Price Guidelines
A Full Service Groom includes the following.
Anything additional can be discussed before your appointment.

- The salon accepts a maximum of 3 dogs per day so we can ensure that we maintain a calm and safe environment for your dog.
- On arrival your dog can spend time in the garden or if they have excess energy they can run in the enclosed field.
- Grooming includes thorough brushing before the bath to remove big knots and help relax your dog. I can discover any sensitive areas and start to communicate with and reassure your dog.
- A warm or cool bath follows (weather dependant) and I use only all natural plant based shampoos, chosen specifically for your dogs coat type or any skin issues. I condition the coat if necessary.
- After the bath, your dog has another opportunity to wee and have a good shake in the garden!!
- I have various dryers with various powers and will judge your dogs’ tolerance of being dried. Most are fine and very relaxed as I am with them all the time. I do not own a drying chamber as I don’t need to dry dogs quickly to rush them through the process.
- Drying is followed by brushing again, plus as I am feeling your dog all over I can check for any new lumps or bumps, skin or coat issues.
- Your dog will be either scissor trimmed or clipped and scissor finished according to your preference. Show cuts are also offered, however many owners prefer a more practical style living in rural France 😉
- I don’t trim those lovely long eyelashes unless you request this.
- The trim includes the whole body including a tidy up of sanitary areas.
- The gaps between toes are checked for seeds and under paws are trimmed and checked for matted hair which can often become hard “stones” and cause discomfort when your dog walks.
- Nails are trimmed and ears are cleaned.
- Your dog then normally has a short time to relax in a cosy bed in the groom room whilst they wait for you.
- They go home smelling fresh but not sprayed with dog perfume unless you request this 😉
- Love and cuddles included every time!
As all dogs are different in both their grooming and interactional needs, please give me a call to discuss your dog.
Once I understand more about your dog, I can confirm a price and we can schedule an appointment.

Why does a groomer cost more than a hairdresser 🙂

- Your hairdresser doesn't wash & clean your rear end!
- You don't go 8 weeks without washing or brushing your hair.
- Your hairdresser doesn't give you a sanitary trim!
- Your hairdresser doesn't clean your ears.
- The hairdresser doesn't clean the boogies from your eyes.
- You sit still for your hairdresser.
- Your haircut doesn't include a manicure AND pedicure!
- Your hairdresser only works on the hair on your head.
- You don't bite and scratch your hairdresser.
- The likelihood of you pooping on your hairdresser is pretty slim!
